Working backwards....

Dearest blog, well here I am once again...naturally a ridiculous amount has happened since I was last suffering of the diharrea of the fingers that results in me finally splurging it all incoherently into a post.

Well the war finished then, hurrumph! By all accounts it was well planned and thought out and not reminiscent of the ridiculous Lebanon war of 2006. But as Lloyd Grossman might say...'Let's look at the evidence..,David, its ooo-ver to you'. So lets access. 1. Kicked alot of crap- check! 2. Gilad Shalit released- not so much. An end to rocket fire from Gaza- less so. Not sure that any of these goals were ever realistic and its fair to say that releasing Shalit according to the terms set out by Hamas would have set a worrying precedent, so the general sense is that the war is not considered as having been a bad thing at this point...hmmm, back to the drawing board...?
